Using these advanced techniques we can recognize most of the text that is held in the digital image and convert it to readable text.

Recognition and collection of relevant data using ORION Déjà Vu
ORION Déjà Vu uses sophisticated Knowledge Base technologies to store and learn the structure and content of each individual document type.

This is particular well suited for semi-structured documents, such as AP Invoices, since we know there is some structure in the document. Like with an AP Invoice: it always contains certain fields like Invoice number, Invoice date, Amounts, Bank Account, etc.

Each time an invoice is processed, ORION Déjà Vu will check the invoice against the Knowledge Base to capture the most likely candidates for a data field. When no candidates are found or ORION Déjà Vu is not sure enough, the document and the data field(s) are presented to the user. The user then has to either correct or confirm the value for the data field. The results are analyzed and recorded in the Knowledge Base.

This way ORION Déjà Vu learns during normal daily use and improves the results.
